Christ-Likeness

We desire to plant churches that are committed to helping people become "like Christ". As people look at us as leaders, we want our lives to make Christ "believable". What better way to do this than for them to see Christ in us.

Service

We are here to serve others. A slogan that reminds us of our mission is "we are here for others, others are not here for us". With this in mind, Square One leadership commits to serve those that God brings to us just as Christ has served us.

Encouragement

We want to be a voice of hope, wisdom, and encouragement for others on their journey of church planting. We desire that Square One leadership be used in your life to help you to know that God can do great things through you as you make yourself available to Him and to others. You can do it, and we want to help you and encourage you. And we want you to be able to help and encourage others, as God brings other planters into your life.

Missional Living

We believe that Christ has called us to live incarnational lives among others. To do this, we must be willing to embrace and transform culture. We are to live among those God has called us to reach.

Mutual Submission/Submitting One to Another

We recognize that Christ desires to be the head of SQ 1, the church, and of our lives. As Square One moves forward, we will try to make decisions with a desire to know what is the will of the Lord. Awe believe that a spirit of humility and a willingness to submit to each other will allow Christ to be the Head/Leader of all that we do.

Organic

We desire to help planters develop an organic approach to church planting as they learn the art of hearing from God concerning His direction for the particular church plant to which He is calling us. While we are not opposed to models, Square One wants to see planters who desire to hear from God in regards to the particular church God is calling them to plant.

Servant Leadership

We believe that Kingdom Leadership means that we are servant leaders. We refuse to use power/authority to leverage people, but rather desire to influence people by serving them. Jesus is the greatest leader, and his life of service reminds us of what great leaders truly look like. We desire to be this type of leader, and to encourage others in leadership to do the same.
