steps to planting
Determine in your heart that you are willing to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of others around you in the name of Christ. Spend time talking with others who know and trust you determining your hearts desires to plant a new church.
Give us a phone call or set up a meeting over lunch. We want to help you assess you as soon as you sincerely feel the need to change the world through church planting.
Sometimes this is attending a weekend of leadership over church planting, other times it may be you moving into the DFW area to intern with either Crossroads or Mosaic. Whatever it may look like, there will have to be a major commitment on your part to begin the journey of church planting.
The Square One assessment is done through a myriad of ways. An application, interview and weekend away with your wife (if married) all are a part of making a healthy assessment on your desire to be a church planter.
Once assessment is completed and passed, we will spend hands on time with you (and your family) getting you prepared to lead a new church. This mentorship will come through informal meetings, learning events and leading certain missional ministries at a local church (probably at Crossroads or Mosaic).
After a season of learning and leading, we will help you move to the area that you sense God is calling you to.
You will continue to have others around you that you can contact as you encounter the joys and problems of church planting. We are here for you and the long term success of the message of Christ, so we will make every effort to coach you through the first few years of your new church plant.
All of our Square One planters will be encouraged to attend a yearly Square One retreat where our leaders and planters gather for a few days to relax, share stories and encourage one another in the journey of church planting. This will be a great time of fun and learning.
