what they are saying
God has given Square One a large vision to go against the conventional wisdom of the day and seek to invest in churches who will make an impact in the lives of people. Joe and Stephen are less concerned with models, systems and numbers than they are with making a difference in the lives of others and their communities. They are a refreshing change of pace in the world of 'vocational ministries' and conferences.

When I began the church planting process, it seemed daunting. But through the coaching and mentoring that Square One has provided, I have been able to accomplish things I have only dreamed about. I encourage everyone interested in church planting to check out Square One.

We need churches that are willing to embrace people that too often we have overlooked. We need churches willing to communicate in a way that our new world understands. We need churches willing to mobilize people to change the world. Connecting with Square One can help you be a part of starting the type of church your city needs.

Stephen Hammond has been one of our greatest assets in church planting. Stephen has brought innovative thinking, encouragement, and spiritual counsel to our church plant. Through Stephen, God has greatly blessed our church plant. As a church planter, my greatest need has been two fold: resources and encouragment. Stephen has provided both of those. We would have been hard pressed to do what we're doing without a friend like Stephen. If you believe that God is wanting you to plant a new work, I would encourage you to involve yourself with Stephen and the Square One group.

I am a first time church planter entering the 21st month of our plant. I was associated with two groups, a local and state, when I planted. They both gave encouragement and some financial assistance. What was missing however was a coach to walk with me through the process, not just visit at an annual review. SquareOne provides encouragement and instruction, but also a relationship. Joe and Stephen are willing to not only host a conference but walk the journey as well. I am excited to find a partner in ministry with the same passion for reaching community for Christ without a box of methods that I have to fit in. They actually encourage my walk with Christ to determine the direction of my ministry not just following their blueprints for cookie cutter churches. I am blessed to be part of this union.

What a great day it is in the service of our Lord. I just wanted to take the time to express my thoughts and thanks to the fellow church planters that I have met over the last two years. When the Lord spoke to me about starting a new church my first thought was yes of course I will, and then I realized that I didn't have a clue of where to start. I started to read books and watch pastors on TV that had started new churches. I have been in full time work for Christ for twenty one years and have been senior pastor of two churches, however I realized that I didn't know how to start a new church from scratch. We hit and missed for the first three months, but then I met Joe and Stephen at Square One. I have had a great relationship with my mentor, Joe Centineo and other church planting friends we have met. The guidance I have received through this new adventure has been a God send. I talk to Joe on a weekly basis, and not just about church stuff, but about our families and our lives. I can't image doing what I am doing without this much needed relationship that I have found at Square One. I have found that the most important tool that I needed in planting a church outside of my relationship with God and my family is the relationship I have with the visionary people at Square One. And I am most encouraged that it is regardless of our denominational background or affiliation. It is said that iron sharpens iron, but in reality, stones sharpens iron. I am so thankful that God sent some lively stones into my life."

I have the joy of pastoring a church called Family of Faith Worship Center on the east side of Fort Worth. Through the efforts of Square One and Joe Centineo I was mentored for eight months before I was sent out to help change the east side of Fort Worth through church planting. Over the past two years Joe has been an excellent source of help, encouragement and support. Because of the support of Square One, Family of Faith Worship Center has seen over 20 people come into a personal relationship with Christ! It's been quite a journey (church planting) and one that I couldn't have done without my friend Joe Centineo and the Square One family.
